One of my favorite things to do on nights where I have a little time to spare and want to treat myself is flesh out my skincare routine and go for the full pampering effect. I’m an avid face mask user, but on occasion, I love to throw on some under eye gels. They just feel so luxurious (and truly amazing) after a grueling, tiresome day. It’s like a reset button for your eyes after they’ve been staring at a screen all day!
If you’re not familiar with under eye patches like the ones I am about to discuss, they’re essentially paper or gel patches (sometimes soaked in a serum) that rest underneath the eye and help to brighten, depuff, and cool down the area. While they’re not a staple or everyday product like an eye cream, every once in a while they’re nice to throw on to relax and offer a little bit of treatment.
Being the product junkie I am, I have tried several brands (and will probably try several more in the near future), so I’m here to give you the tea on what to spend your money on and what to skip if you’re in the market to try some out!

1. Acure Brightening Under Eye Supergreens Hydrogels ($4.99 for a single pair)

I give these a 4.5 out of 5 stars! These Acure patches are some of my favorite I have used and I would definitely repurchase them. The patches are made from a green hydrogel material and rest beautifully and comfortably underneath the eyes. Super cooling and the caffeine in them is great for brightening and depuffing!
2. Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack ($5.00 for a single pair)

I have to say, as someone who is a Soap & Glory mega fan (I swear by their bodycare, specifically, this body butter), I was very disappointed in these patches. I have to give them a 2.5 out of 5 stars. I have tried them several times because I wanted to be sure and every time they let me down. I’m not sure if it’s the way I put them on. Maybe I put them on too close to my eyes, but these are so irritating and unbearable to wear! This is so weird for me too because I don’t have sensitive skin or eyes at all really, so it really took me by surprise. The results don’t outweigh the irritation I get from these as there are other eye gels I prefer on this list. I might try them out again in the future maybe possibly one day to give them another chance, but overall, I am not a fan.
3. Patchology Flashpatch Restoring Night Eye Gels ($60 for 30 pairs)

Hands. Down. The best under eye patches I have ever tried. These are my holy grail eye gels and are truly game changing. 5 out of 5 stars. I think I got this little packet pictured as a sample, and I tried them and immediately fell in love and ordered a jar online. They just feel absolutely amazing and really work (and worth the splurge). They’re cooling and depuffing and my dark circles look way less intense after use. Feeling inspired to pop on a pair of these tonight tbh.

4. Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($33 for 8 pairs)

These are the eye patches that I go back to all the time. I give them a 4 out of 5 stars; they just get the job done. They’re not that super slippy hydrogel material, which if I’m being honest I think I’m starting to prefer, but they stay really well underneath the eyes and feel great! Out of everything on this list, I have used these the longest and repurchased them several times.
